ASIF KAPADIA’S STEVE CRAM DOCUMENTARY GOES LIVE

The third of our bespoke documentaries for BMW’s sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic Games goes live today.

Each of the four films focuses on an Olympic or Paralympic athlete and the parallels with BMW as a car and a company.

We worked with leading British documentary talent including Richard De Aragüés, Stevan Riley and, director of the latest film in the series, Bafta-winning Asif Kapadia of Senna fame.

Kapadia’s film, ‘Power, Speed and Endurance’, looks back at the golden era of British middle distance running and the career of Steve Cram. It tells the story of how Steve Cram developed into one of the most successful British athletes of all time, and how he smashed the world record for running 1 mile.

During this period BMW was also experiencing huge racing success with the BMW M3 becoming the most successful racing car of all time. The BMW M3 is set to return to racing this year in the 2012 DTM series.
