McCoy’s – the UK’s number one ridged crisp – today reveals an online film to launch its latest Facebook competition, with a flavoursome twist.
Whilst most brands are busy focusing on short and snappy social videos, McCoy’s are doing things a little differently. At midday on Friday 20th October, McCoy’s lovers will be clinging on to their chance of winning a crescendo of crisps, as they watch a 4-hour long Facebook Live broadcast, featuring a McCoy’s production line. That’s thousands of crisp packets rolling gloriously by, in a continuous stream of Flavour.
The interactive online film we created gives viewers the opportunity to win bags of McCoy’s at randomised times during the live stream – as they are tasked with everything from tagging friends and commenting their favourite flavour at the sound of numerous alarms, to posting screenshots of sporadically appearing objects. To build anticipation and boost engagement, viewers are accompanied by a factory commentator, interjecting with funny ramblings throughout the film.
Rewarding true crisp fanatics for their dedication to Flavour, prizes include free McCoy’s crisps for winners and a friend, special McCoy’s deliveries to the office and supplies of viewers’ favourite flavours for the entire year.
