E.ON goes on a journey through time in a new brand campaign for E.ON Plus.

With the story told in a TV commercial at the end of the 19th century, the Essen-based company wants to show that energy has made people’s homes ever better places over the years.

The journey through time ends in the present with a young couple who have made their own four walls the “best place in the world” with E.ON Plus. Under this product name, the energy giant combines services from the field of classic energy generation and smart home solutions.

“Our time travel shows that we have made more and more comfort possible for our customers right from the start. In this way, we are building an easy-to-understand bridge between the new solutions for a smart, networked home and our classic energy products,” says Benedikt Bader, Head of Marketing Communication at E.ON.

The spot, created by WCRS (as part of an Engine team) was broadcasted throughout Germany on channels with a large reach such as ARD, RTL, Sat 1 and Pro Sieben. E.ON also placed print advertisements in national titles and trade magazines and extended the campaign in online and social media channels.
