Warburtons had a big announcement to make: Giant Crumpets had arrived.
And just in time for Christmas.
Our job was to deliver the news that the warming, delicious, joy-inducing product, that the nation already loved, was now available in GIANT size.
As we had such happy news, the classic Christmas advertising model of making you cry to buy didn’t feel right. So we decided to the exact opposite: create an all singing, all dancing crumpet extravaganza.
Following the success of our Sly Stallone Freshness campaign, we wanted another star to feature with their very own Jonathan Warburton.
And who better to communicate the giant excitement of this product than the incomparably energetic Muppets!
The response in PR and social was unbelievable! 466 pieces of coverage were generated about our campaign, reaching over 32,000,000 people.
We were even named Top Christmas Ad of 2015 by Millward Brown and, in a separate piece of research, they deemed our 120” TVC within the top 25 most engaging advertising they’d ever researched.
