Look out for Churchill the dog who’s been making some bold appearances across the latest ads for the IPA’s Festival of British Advertising: Celebrating 100 Years.
We’re a proud Friend of the festival, and delighted to see our iconic canine character at the forefront of the campaign, featuring in Campaign and across billboards in Hyde Park, Brent Cross, Chiswick and Peckham.
The four-day event will be celebrating its centenary with an exhibition open to the public from the 9th – 12th March, charting the very best of British advertising’s achievements over the past 100 years – everything from ‘Shake n’ Vac’ and the ‘Smash Martians’ to Lord Kitchener’s ‘Your Country Needs You.’
A series of ticketed events will also run alongside the exhibition, including exclusive screenings, a Q&A with Oscar-winning director Sir Alan Parker, ‘Pop Goes The Ad Break‘ – a romp through the relationship between pop music and commercials featuring an all-star panel of top comedians and music legends, and ‘Adam And The Ads‘: a tour through the funniest ads of all time courtesy of much loved comic and broadcaster Adam Buxton.
Are we looking forward to it? Oh yes!
