It was in Paris in May last year, on the evening of the Duchenne Dash finale, that a room of exhausted cyclists witnessed Robyn Pete give a brilliant and rousing speech on behalf of Duchenne UK.

The message was clear and one of hope: “We will live in the days of the end of Duchenne.”

Robyn’s son, Felix, has Duchenne and like Emily Crossley and Alex Johnson (the co-founders of Duchenne UK) she embodies the defiance that has firmly placed these mothers as the beating heart of the fight to cure Duchenne within a decade.

Following the speech, WCRS and Duchenne UK set about bottling up Robyn’s powerful words to inspire a wider audience to get behind the cause.

Here is the resulting film, launched on Duchenne UK’s social channels and Mumsnet today.
