To celebrate the opening day of this year’s Wimbledon Championships, we worked with Churchill to bring their bespoke umbrellas to the queue, to let tennis fans know that Churchill has got them covered.
TV presenter Alison Hammond joined us and Slice, the Slice team was charged with handing out umbrellas and pots of quintessentially British strawberries and cream. To win a much sought-after Churchill umbrella, fans were asked by Alison who they would share their umbrella with at Wimbledon. We recorded the weird and wonderful responses and launched our competition on social for the rest of the Churchill community to get involved.
On the day the umbrellas received fantastic coverage in the online press, appearing in The Mail Online and The Sun. In the first 24 hours of launching the competition online, Churchill had received over 3,000 entries.
