McCoy’s have launched the first in a series of social activations that will continue to build on our successful ‘When Flavour Calls‘ campaign.
This time, we’re asking Facebook users to show how dedicated they are to their favourite flavoursome snack by officially declaring ‘Flavour’ their middle name! The competition, run on Facebook, gives users a chance to win a month’s supply of McCoy’s crisps – if they change their middle name on their Facebook profile. To verify their entry, users simply comment on the promotional post with their favourite McCoy’s flavour using the hashtag #WhenFlavourCalls.
The innovative use of the channel cleverly encourages conversation around the brand’s core positioning, locking users into a 60-day commitment that’s in accordance with Facebook’s own policy. The activation aims to drive brand engagement and generate earned reach, and already hundreds of users have changed their middle names and challenged their friends to do the same.
