The cinema is a place where, thanks to the certification system, children are shielded from violence and abuse. Unfortunately, for the 160,000 children currently living in households in England where domestic abuse takes place, exposure to fear and violence is their daily reality.
In collaboration with the British Board of Film Classification, we have created an advert specifically for cinema that highlights the realities for children growing up in abusive households.
The poignant and powerful film, is WCRS’ Creative, David Dearlove’s directorial debut, and is inspired by the real-life experiences of survivors of domestic abuse.
The campaign, is supported by a social media edit and accompanied by the hashtag #160kchildren.
